The Kherson Club of Active Citizens held a master class on stopping massive bleeding for volunteers mainly involved in evacuating residents of Antonivka, Kindiyka, Sadove, and other dangerous frontline zones of the Kherson region.
As all participants had already undergone training in first aid, the main task of the master class was to additionally practice essential skills in assisting themselves and the injured.
Applying tourniquets, bandaging, tamponing wounds, and determining the condition of the injured is the knowledge that can save lives, especially during the evacuation from settlements where there is daily shelling and dropping explosives from Russian drones on houses, cars, and simply civilians.
The master class was conducted by certified trainers from the NGO "Kherson League of Social Workers," thanks to the support of our Czech partners from the organization NESEHNUTÍ, we provided all participants with personal CAT turnstiles.
This event is organized within the framework of the project "Kherson: on the Way to Recovery" conducted by the "Union" Foundation as part of its project implemented under the USAID/ENGAGE activity, which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Pact. The activities of this Club are the sole responsibility of Pact and its implementing partners and do not necessary reflect the views of USAID or the United States Government.
