The methodological guide "Internet Safety and Protection from Internet Fraud in Ukraine"

Today, the Internet has become an integral part of our lives. Millions of citizens use it to communicate, study, work, purchase, and receive various services.

However, along with the growth of dependence on digital technologies, Internet fraud and cybercrimes directed against Internet users have also increased. Insufficient awareness and a low level of digital literacy make many people vulnerable to various fraudulent schemes, which lead to significant financial losses and psychological trauma. That is why digital literacy and vigilance are not only technical skills but also an element of the personal security of every Ukrainian man and woman.

The "Union" Foundation has worked at the intersection of public security, education, and community development for many years. Our experience, especially in difficult times of occupation and war, has convinced us that information security is not an abstraction. It is a matter of survival.

We learned to encrypt data, destroy digital traces, protect ourselves and our loved ones — and now we want to pass this experience on. We are convinced that only through education, trust, and support for each other will we be able to create a sustainable society where everyone knows how to protect themselves on the Internet.

We have created a methodological guide, "Internet Safety and Protection from Internet Fraud in Ukraine". You can download it at the link: https://lnkd.in/duEBKxuH

This guide is another step towards a safer digital environment for all of us. In it, we:

- Describe the most common fraudulent schemes found in the Ukrainian online space.

- Give specific examples that can happen to anyone.

- Provide practical advice to help you avoid the traps of attackers and save your data and funds.

We hope that this publication will become a helpful guide in everyday life, help you avoid attackers' traps, and save not only finances but also citizens' peace of mind, especially in these times.

Let's take care of ourselves. Let's take care of each other.

The publication of this guide was made possible thanks to the support of the Prague Civil Society Centre.
