Union Foundation Delivers 52 Drone Detectors to Eight Communities in the Kherson Region

Over the past month, the Union Foundation has delivered 52 “Dzyga” drone detectors worth more than UAH 1.5 million to municipal services and institutions in eight communities on the right bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region. These services continue operating despite the deteriorating security situation. The detectors will help workers identify enemy drones more quickly and respond to threats in a timely manner while carrying out their duties.

We have been discussing the need for such detection equipment with communities over the past year at meetings of the public safety working groups coordinated by the Foundation. The number of detectors allocated to each community was determined based on its size and security situation.

How the detectors were distributed:

  • Kherson community — 20;
  • Bilozerka community — 10;
  • Stanislav community — 8;
  • Novovorontsovka community — 5;
  • Chornobaivka community — 4;
  • Vysokopillia community — 2;
  • Velykooleksandrivska community — 2;
  • Kochubeivka community — 1.

For municipal services working every day in frontline communities, being able to detect a drone in advance provides extra time to protect their employees.

The drone detectors were delivered under a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Razom for Ukraine Foundation. We thank our partners for their support and timely assistance to communities in the Kherson region.
