The meeting of the working group on public safety and recovery was held in the Novovorontsovka community

The meeting of the working group on public safety and recovery was held in the Novovorontsovka community with the participation of representatives of the authorities, the public, and the police.

The problematic issues in the community were raised at the meeting, in particular, the lack of equipped shelters, the destruction of all schools due to hostilities, and the psychological tension of the population against each other, which relates to the topic of "those who left" and "those who remained/are staying", lack of leisure facilities in the community, mined fields, natural garbage dumps, etc.

The meeting also discussed the desired initiatives, in particular, traditionally for most communities, the installation of video surveillance cameras, which will facilitate the work of the police, the arrangement of shelters, the creation of a public laundry, an educational hub for children and youth, rooms for psychological relief, etc.

It was decided to develop a restoration project for the video surveillance system in Novovorontsovka and submit it to UNDP for financing.

The working groups on public safety and recovery were held in the Bilozerka, Chornobaivka, Stanislav, Kochubeyivka, and Vysokopillia communities. Overall, 6 public safety working groups function in the Kherson region
