Webinar "Conflictological Sensitivity: Understanding Desires, Needs, and Fears That Influence Behavior in (Post)Conflict Situations"
We invite you to the webinar "Conflictological Sensitivity: Understanding Desires, Needs, and Fears That Influence Behavior in (Post)Conflict Situations."
Date: March 7, 2025
Time: 13:00 – 15:00
This webinar is a continuation of the topic of the return of people to liberated territories and the first webinar on the topic "Return Migration and Key Challenges Related to the Process of Returning to (Post)Conflict Areas", which we held two weeks ago with Associate Professor at Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic)Lucie Macková.
We strive to help communities in the Kherson region better understand the challenges they will face in the post-conflict period. This time, the event will be held by another unique specialist from the Czech Republic: Lenka Dušková, whose profile is conflict transformation.
During the webinar, we will do the following:
- take a deeper look at what conflict is from the perspective of human communities to better understand and navigate how it works and where we are now in the dynamics of conflict,
- Try to get to know ourselves better in conflict to better understand what we can count on (we cannot change others, but we can change ourselves and our attitudes).
Speaker: Lenka Dušková - Associate Professor of Development and Environmental Studies at Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic. She has a political science degree and has completed several postgraduate programs in conflict transformation (Humboldt University in Berlin, SIT program in the USA, Central European University in Budapest, etc.). Her research interests include security and development, "conflict-sensitive development", using mediation and facilitation methods in project management in unstable and transitional regions, qualitative and participatory research methods, and their specificity in development research or community formation processes in post-conflict conditions.
To participate in the webinar, register by March 6, inclusive.
Organizer: Kherson Regional Charitable Foundation "Union" and Czech NGO NESEHNUTÍ
