The meeting of NGOs with representatives of the State Emergency Service and the Educational and Methodological Center for Civil Protection and Life Safety was held in Kherson

A meeting of public and charitable organizations with representatives of the State Emergency Service and the Educational and Methodological Center for Civil Protection and Life Safety of the Kherson region was held in Kherson.

The meeting aimed to get acquainted, establish partnerships, and coordinate actions in civil protection and support for the Kherson region's population.

Ten public and charitable organizations attended the meeting, at which they presented their activities and areas of work in the deoccupied communities of the Kherson region.

The Educational and Methodological Center for Civil Protection and Life Safety presented their current projects, “Interactive Center for the Formation of Security Skills – Security Class” and “Increasing the Availability of Security Services for the Affected Population of the Kherson Region”.

Representatives of the Social and Psychological Service of the State Emergency Service in the Kherson region spoke about their work, aimed at both the civilian population and the employees of the State Emergency Service themselves.

The meeting preliminarily identified areas of cooperation and joint actions to enhance the availability of security services for the affected population of the Kherson region, and planned further steps for interaction between various stakeholders.

Our Foundation has already held similar intersectoral meetings in Kherson, namely, a meeting of representatives of NGOs and the police and a meeting of NGOs and journalists. This meeting of NGOs, the State Emergency Service, and the Educational and Methodological Center for Civil Protection and Life Safety was a logical continuation.

Building partnerships and cooperation in the fields of public security and civil protection remains one of our Foundation's priorities. Based on the requests and proposals voiced by participating organizations and services, the next coordination meeting is already being planned.

Working groups on public security and recovery are also operating in 6 communities of the Kherson region. These groups include representatives of military administrations, public and charitable organizations, community police officers, local fire departments, and other institutions, the coordination of whose actions is carried out by our Foundation. In Kherson, there is currently no such advisory and consultative body under the military administration. Practice shows that such working groups can be pretty effective in planning and implementing initiatives in public security.
