Every day, Kherson residents face danger, and in a critical situation, it is essential to have a clear algorithm of actions at hand.
Therefore, our Foundation, together with active residents of the city and in agreement with the Kherson City Military Administration, has prepared a simple and understandable booklet for Kherson residents, providing step-by-step instructions on what to do after shelling.
We have collected and systematized the most essential information, leaving only the key steps and contacts - without unnecessary burden or complex formulations.
In the near future, we will distribute printed copies to representatives of the administration, police, condominium associations, and NGOs that work with the population in Kherson, enabling them to promptly share information with those who need it most.
The booklet will help you quickly orient yourself and know what to do first. You can download it here.
Share this information so that as many people as possible are aware of how to act. This can help save time, nerves, and lives at a critical moment.
This work is one of the results of our activities within the framework of the Impulse Project implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation and the East Europe Foundation with funding from Norway (Norad) and Sweden (Sida), and the Working Group on Public Safety and Recovery, which our Foundation created together with the Kherson City Military Administration last month. It brings together representatives of local authorities, security operators, and the public, thereby expanding opportunities for citizens to participate in shaping regional security policy, identifying risks, planning responses, and developing a vision for a safe community. An example of this work is the focus group study we conducted with residents of the Kherson community to assess their perceptions of existing risks in Kherson related to the war. Through joint efforts, we can accomplish useful things for the communities.
A little later, we will release booklets with the most necessary information on drone and mine safety.
