The Kherson Regional Charitable Foundation “Union” is presenting a test version of an interactive map of drone threats in Kherson and the surrounding area: fund.kherson.ua/drone-map.
The map clearly illustrates where, when, and with what the enemy most frequently attacks. The map is based on over 15,000 messages from the “Radar Kherson” Telegram channel since the beginning of 2026, which have been automatically analyzed and linked to over 150 locations in the city and its suburbs — from Antonivka and Korabel to specific streets, markets, and hospitals.
What the map shows
- A map of pressure on the city: the larger and redder the dot, the more threats were recorded at that location during the selected period.
- Weekly trends—you can see how the intensity of attacks has changed from January to the present.
- Types of threats: drones, “Molniya” missiles, “Mavic” drones, etc.
- Distribution by hour of the day—which hours are the most dangerous.
- Launch directions: Arrows show where drones systematically come from and where they go—this data is reconstructed from reports such as “drone from Kovsh” and course alerts.
- Profile for each location: Clicking on a point opens its individual statistics — trends, threat types, and directions.
You can select any time period—from the last week to the entire history of observations—and easily share a link to the selected view: the page URL includes the selected dates.
It’s important to understand
The map is an analytical tool, not an alert system: the data is updated periodically — roughly once a week — and does not reflect the situation in real time. It’s also important to note that nighttime threats are rarely mentioned in the channel’s posts — but that doesn’t mean they don’t occur at night: they do, and their number is increasing. This is a test version: not all markers or data may be displayed on the map.
We hope the map will be useful to residents — to help them understand the situation in their neighborhood; to journalists and researchers — as a documented record of the terror against a civilian city; to humanitarian organizations — for planning their work and advocacy efforts.
Help us make the map more accurate! Did you notice a marker in the wrong place or know of a missing location? Click the correct spot on the map — a window with coordinates will appear — and send the location’s name along with the coordinates to office@fundunion.org. We also welcome any suggestions or comments at the same address.
