Thanks to cooperation with the Bilozerka Military Administration and the support of the USAID project “Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative (UCBI)” and the Union Foundation, an important educational project to create and expand the equipment of safety classes has been launched in the Bilozerka community.

The project aims to provide students and other community residents with the opportunity to obtain the necessary knowledge and practical skills for safe behavior in emergencies. Particular attention was paid to mine danger, which remains a relevant threat for many regions. The safety classes will become an essential platform for teaching children and adults the basics of protecting their lives and health.

As part of the project, the basic equipment of one of the existing safety classes in the community will be expanded with new educational tools, and the second safety class will be created from scratch.

The project will help raise awareness of the risks of emergencies and improve safety in communities in general. Thanks to new knowledge, residents can protect themselves and their loved ones more effectively in difficult situations and actively share the information they have received with others.

“Safety classes are key in forming a responsible society ready for challenges. The skills acquired not only increase the level of personal safety but also contribute to developing a general culture of safety in our community,” says Oleksandr Vasylenko, Head of the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports.

This project was developed based on ideas previously collected from residents of the Bilozerka community, who are also ready to participate in its implementation.
