Eight winners of the mini-grant competition have been determined


We received 60 applications from the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. And the choice was challenging because every idea deserves to be supported.

Today, we are pleased to present eight initiatives that will be implemented in the coming months with our support and with the assistance of NED. 

✅ "Promotion of blood donation among young people within the "Donor Odesa" project," Odesa. The project aims to increase the number of people involved in blood donation to attract people who were not donors before, to create donation support centers (clubs, circles) in higher education institutions of Odesa to ensure all the current needs for donor blood of the city and military departments of transfusiology in Odesa. 

✅ "Magic of light". The project aims to improve the mental health of employees of preschool education institutions and workers who provide social services in the Oleksandrivka community to combat emotional burnout, which is a consequence of russian aggression, by conducting a candle-making master class. 

✅  "Youth Hub "ART space." The goal of the project is to arrange a youth space where young people (including IDPs) can safely, diversely, and interestingly spend their free time, "pump up" their environmental and financial awareness, and strengthen their psychological health. 

✅ "Safety class: survival training." The goal is to increase theoretical knowledge and practical skills in providing pre-medical care to 60 residents of the Schidne starosta okruh of the Muzykivka community by starting the work of the "Safety Class" in the municipal educational institution "Schidne Lyceum". 

✅ "Increasing the level of knowledge and awareness of residents of the Chornobaivka community by conducting lectures on compliance with traffic rules, lessons, and medical and fire safety classes."  The purpose of the project is evident from the name. It is planned to involve 800 residents of the community. ✅  "Children and the road: playful ways to safety." The goal of the project is to promote the improvement of knowledge and skills of traffic rules among school-age children (from 6 to 14 years old) in Zaporizhzhia, Shyroke community of Zaporizhzhia region, and the Kodyma community of Odesa region by conducting events in each community with the involvement of police officers and using board and floor games. And increasing the visibility of children and adults in the dark through the distribution of reflective flickers in Zaporizhzhia, Shyroke community of Zaporizhzhia region, and the Kodyma community of Odesa region during various campaigns. 

✅ "A space for accessible rehabilitation for displaced Melitopol residents in the Zaporizhzhia Region". Purpose: to improve the health of internally displaced persons from the city of Melitopol and the Melitopol district of the Zaporizhzhia region who have disabilities or chronic diseases by providing psychological and rehabilitation services based on the Center "Open space of help "SAME TUT" of the Melitopol city council of the Zaporizhzhia region.

✅ "Provision of furniture for youth spaces based on three libraries". The project aims to create a single youth center for communication and learning equipped with modern technical means and comfortable furniture.

👉 The total amount of financing for the winning projects is UAH 390,578.00. Managers also attract co-financing for their projects for UAH 699,478.00.
