The fourth meeting of working groups on public safety was held in six communities of the Kherson region

At the end of February 2024, meetings of working groups on public safety and recovery (the WGPSR) were held in six territorial communities of the Kherson Region.

This is the fourth meeting attended by representatives of regional and village military administrations, local self-government bodies, public organizations, charitable foundations, the police, the State Emergency Service, and other institutions and organizations interested in strengthening public security.

The meetings discussed implementing initiatives previously supported by UNDP, including restoring video surveillance cameras in communities, installing fire hydrants, arranging police workplaces, and creating security classes.

The participants also discussed future projects that can be submitted for grant competitions.

In addition, participants were presented with opportunities to cooperate with the Center for Law and Mediation in monitoring, analyzing, evaluating, and resolving conflicts in the community.

As a reminder, the WGPSR in the 6 mentioned communities was created last summer by the orders of the heads of military administrations within the framework of the initiative "Kherson Region: Public Security and Recovery in the Conditions of Change" is implemented by the "Union" Foundation with the assistance of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine with the financial support of the Government of Denmark, provided within the framework of the United Nations Program for Reconstruction and Peacebuilding.
