On December 19, in partnership with the charitable organization Yak ty, brate? and certified trainer Zoya Zinovieva, we held a webinar on "How to Communicate During War: For Veterans and Their Families."
Zoya Zinovieva shared tips on supporting a loved one who is currently at the front, emphasizing the need for communication and emotional support. She also talked about the communication algorithm, which involves exchanging information, discussing plans, and controlling the expression of emotions.
Together with the event participants, we discussed the importance of trust, communication, and support for military veterans returning to civilian life, the need for respect and boundaries in interaction with veterans, and the importance of not imposing communication if it is not welcome.
We also discussed how to communicate about losses and maintain your personal boundaries in this situation.
Thank you to everyone who joined our webinar. We received many requests for additional similar events. Therefore, in the comments under this publication or a personal message, you can inform us of your question/request on the next webinar topic.
We remind you that free manuals with specific tips and algorithms for communicating with soldiers, veterans, their families, military personnel among themselves, and others can be downloaded in electronic format, or order printed versions for free here or write to us at office@fundunion.org and pick them up in Kherson.
