On July 18-19, 2024, training on grant project management for representatives of communities of the Kherson region, where the Working Groups for Public Safety and Restoration (WGPSR) operate, was held.
The training aims to provide the WGPSR participants with knowledge and skills in project management, grant management, and teamwork building.
The training devoted particular attention to analyzing the nuances of preparing reports for donors using the UNDP report as an example. Reporting for mini-initiatives (when UNDP purchases and hands over equipment directly to communities) and grant projects (when funding is received by NGOs operating in communities) was separately considered.
The training allowed participants to analyze in detail all issues related to planning and delegation during project implementation and respond to risks and their elimination.
Two days earlier, a workshop on forming recommendations on information policy in the front-line communities of the Kherson region was held. In April, a training on project design was held, so this event was a logical continuation of the previous training.
The workshop was held within the framework of the program "Kherson region: public safety and recovery in conditions of change", which is implemented by the "Union" Foundation with the assistance of the UN Development Program in Ukraine with the financial support of the Government of Denmark, provided within the framework of the Program for Reconstruction and Peacebuilding.
